CERVAP and ComPA FVG Foundation: an agreement for mapping and simplifying internal processes

26 November 2021

Following the recent signing of the framework agreement, the Public Value Research Centre (CERVAP), promoted by the University of Ferrara Department of Economics and Management, and the ComPA FVG Foundation, an instrumental body of the National Association of the Italian Municipalities of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, signed the first implementation agreement regarding mapping and simplifying internal processes from the point of view of integrating Performance Management and Risk Management.

The Public Value Research Centre pursues by statute research, advanced training and third mission activities, providing in these areas:

  • research activities with reference to the Public Administration of the different sectors, including on commission, offering high qualification, experience and state-of-the-art know-how;
  • advanced training, interactive and directed towards active learning in the sectors of expertise, also in the form of methodological support workshops;
  • public engagement activities and the transfer of knowledge for the purpose of disseminating the results of partnerships or research.

The ComPA FVG Foundation Was setted up in 2015 by the Associations of Municipalities, Provinces,  Mountain Communities and Health Authorities of Friuli-Venezia Giulia with the aim of strengthening the institutional, planning, organisational and managerial capacities of the Local Authorities, of the Public Organisations and Entities of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The ComPA FVG Foundation, in the person of its president Rodolfo Ziberna, therefore chose the CERVAP research group for a multi-year collaboration regarding mapping of its internal processes with a view to integrating the Performance Management and Risk Management of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Local Authorities.

In keeping with the Centre’s purposes, the Scientific Director and a team of researchers from CERVAP will engage in research, training and third mission services aimed at integrated mapping and the subsequent re-engineering and simplification of internal processes, also in order to create an “Observatory on the simplification of the internal processes of Local Authorities” which will be available online for other authorities that wish to use the methods proposed.
