Enrico Bracci appointed Consultant Scientific Advisor to the State General Accounting Departmental Study Service

Since September 2020, Prof. Enrico Bracci, Vice Director of the Public Value Research Centre (CERVAP), has held the role of Scientific Advisor to the State General Accounting Departmental Study Service (SeSD).

The Departmental Study Service, under the direct control of the State Accountant General, is divided into five non-general managerial offices, whose tasks are defined under the terms of article 1, paragraph 2, of DPCM 67/2013 and undertakes methodological analysis, study and research to support the activities of the whole Department. The SeSD, in particular, undertakes:

  • economic research and methodological analysis in the area of public finance and the impact of budget policies;
  • preliminary studies for creating databases and disaggregated models in the area of public finance;
  • studies in the development of the State budget and the budget of public administrations;
  • studies to define procedures, methodologies and techniques for assessing and consolidating the costs of the services and activities of public administration;
  • the study and analysis of public economy and finance at regional level;
  • analysis and studies in the area of environmental budget and accounting.

Prof. Enrico Bracci will have the opportunity to devise a system of economic-financial accounting rules on an accrual basis inspired by the current IPSAS and the EPSAS processes as well as the process of disseminating the actual IPSAS/EPSAS and the principles and rules on which their accounting based.
